Using select American dynamics processors, we’ve created a tool that lets you easily accomplish a variety of creative tasks with just a few clicks—without sacrificing the analog nature that’s made Studio DMI signature plugins in nearly every modern studio. With Diamond Transient, you can take years of experience from one of the world’s most experienced contemporary audio gurus and easily apply it to your mixes. These plugins help you quickly edit your tracks with insane power. We created both plugins so that you can focus most of your time on the important parameters and refine the settings if necessary. Diamond Transient is perfect for drums, percussion, guitars, synths and even entire mixes, making it the perfect plug-in for both creative tasks and precise mastering. The great versatility of the kit means you can use it in almost any genre of music, from electronic, Latin, rap and hip-hop to rock and metal. The Transient LP-3X plug-in is inspired by the 3-band dynamic amplifier of the late 1980s. This was intended to improve the dynamic range of these formats, which were typically compressed due to their inherent limitations. (Analog tape, anyone?) When connected, the LP-3X has a limited number of controls, but click the fine control button to see additional parameters you can set for your tracks. As the name suggests, the Transient Dynamic Filter dynamically emphasizes or reduces low frequencies between 30 and 500 Hz, following the amplitude of the sound source. As with the LP-3X, turning on the fine-tuning mode gives you almost 19 controls, offering extreme design possibilities.
